7 ½ Effective Strategies To Turbo charge Your Self Confidence

7 09 2010

self-confidence

confidence

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to   what lies    within us.”  ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

You don’t go to the supermarket and buy some confidence. You have it now. It is there all the time. Confidence is to know that you have the ability to achieve the task at hand. Stop for a moment and think about everything that you have ever accomplished…everything you’ve achieved, how did you do all this? By having a Strong belief in yourself that you could do it

1)     Surround yourself with positive confident people.

Surround yourself with people who support you and see you at your best, and provide you with positive feedback.Negative (toxic) people drag you down. Avoid those who suck your energy and diminish your self-confidence with their negative points of view and outlook

2) Practice,practice,practice

The more you DO (Practice) The better you are (more Confidence). Sports is a great example of this when you see Tiger Woods,Roger Federer or Kobe Bryant and other great athletes they have already practiced hundreds of times before they step out to play the game. They Practice consistently until it becomes second nature to them. Get educated, learn, research, and keep practicing and you will be confident absolutely 100% :)

3)     Take care of your Health

Healthy people are confident. To be healthy is critical. The healthier you are, the more energy you have. The more energy you have, the better you feel. The better you feel, the more confident you are. Stay healthy by exercising, getting enough sleep (7 to 8 hours) and having a good nutrition plan

Ask yourself: “How did I take care of myself today?”

4)     Act “AS IF”

When you are low on confidence. this is one of the best  things that you can do.Project being self confident even if you don’t feel like this. Channel the energy of a movie star Will Smith, Meryl Streep.Practice in front of the mirror. Watch the best actors perform etc. Find a way to motivate yourself and get started now.

5. Use positive affirmations.

Positive affirmations are a great way to boost self -confidence. They allow you to communicate with your subconscious mind, strengthening your confidence one thought at a time. However you have to be able to back up those words. It’s not good enough to say “I am confident”, or “I have confidence. You have to repeat them every day at least 10 times. Write the following affirmations down and place them around your house where you can see them often.

“I believe in myself and what I do”

“ No matter what the situation is, I am always in control and confident

“When I Face a challenge I deal with them with calm and confidence in my abilities”

6. The past does not count:

If you didn’t have confidence in your past, that is ok. because now we are in the present and you can always choose what you want to be for your future. Focus on the present moment, with pleasant thoughts about your future. Picture everything going well. Remember that every time you say “I can” “I believe” is like a seed you place in the ground give it time to germinate and come to light.

7 You are unique

There is no one else like you on this planet. No one looks like you, has the same talents, experiences or perspective as you do. You are unique and special.  Focus on what you can bring into the world to share.

7 ½  Confidence is a sureness about your abilities and the expectation that those abilities will lead you to a positive outcome. Of course you can’t be ready or be confident in every single situation but you can always have a confident demeanor about the situation. If there’s something you want to pursue in life, go after it with all your heart and feel confident that success will be yours!

Only as high as I reach can I grow, Only as far as I seek can I go,
Only as deep as I look can I see, Only as much as I dream can I be.
~Karen Ravn
